Dr. Rich Luker - Biography


Author, Researcher and Consultant -- The Luker Company. Dr. Luker was formerly President of The Luker Company LLC and is the mastermind behind the ESPN Sports Poll. Dr. Luker created the ESPN Sports Poll in 1994 as the first dedicated intelligence service reporting on Americans’ interests and activities related to the impact of sports in our culture with consumers and economic trends. Besides working with NCAA Division II, his clients include Anheuser-Busch, GM, Nike, Sony and numerous professional sports properties. Dr. Luker earned a Masters degree in psychology and a Ph.D. in communications and psychology from the University of Michigan. He has served as a faculty member of Temple University, Concordia University and the University of Michigan. In 2005, he was named the Woodard Family Senior Research Fellow in the Warsaw Center, the country’s leading sports business and research facility - at the University of Oregon.
